Is Exo Terra a good brand? That's where mist of my supplies came from.

I've had some pretty good experiences with Exo Terra. I will say that my favorite brand is Zoo Med. Their products a fairly reasonably priced and work really well.

The tanks usually have to be modded to hold in enough substrate, but they are front opening which is nice. For the money though, the $1 per gallon sale will net you a much larger tank and supplies.

Sponges aren't recommended for water bowls since they hold bacteria. They can be used but need daily cleaning!

Some of the exo-terras come with a foam or styrofoam background - crabby claws will pick it apart and destroy it rather quickly.

Oh! And any hygrometer should be calibrated before use, no matter where it came from.

Most people buy a sheet of plexiglass at a hardware store and cut it to the size they need. Home depot sells it and the cutter back with the window screening. Some stores will still cut it to size, but mine doesn't. Figure out how deep you're going to make it (8 inches or whatever) and them leave an inch or two more so they don't pile it up and over in the middle of the night!

At the front (right against the doors)... (Explanation is already written by Wod) Might need to use some silicone to hold it in place - unless a tight fit; it might not need anything - and it be good to go. Some crabbers to place airline tubing over the top (just cut it in half and put it on the top) so that way if it isn't beveled you don't hurt yourself or the crabs hurt themselves.
