HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Has anyone used a topper to connect two or more tanks? I am looking to connect a 120g to my 90g with a topper and am looking for ideas.

I think a really simple method of connecting two tanks would be to use something similar to "Habitrail" tubes used for gerbils and hamsters. A sturdier version could be made from PVC, but you wouldn't be able to see the critters using it.

Check the DIY threads. There have been a couple of members that connected their tanks. If I recall correctly, one member even cut out holes in the sides of the tanks and connected them with acrylic or some other sort of tubing.

You could always flip a 40 gallon upsidedown across the ends, if you didn't need to constantly access that area.

Amazon sells clear plastic tubing that is 2.5" in diameter and 6' long for about $70.00.

How do you want the 120g and the 90g situated with respect to each other? (a sketch diagram might be helpful)

Look up "water bridge for fish tank"... I'm sure there will be some inspiration there! I imagine making your own arcylic "C" shaped connector would be a suitable idea...

The two tanks make an L shape.
