Don know where to put hermit crabs

So my parents are super neat freaks and they only allow me to place my tank like next to sink and in front of the washing machines... im afraid of the fumes ... is it dangerous? Theres no other place to put it and its optimal cuz it has good light and dark enviorment is the washing machine fume toxic or not thx

You wouldn't be allowed to place them in your room ? Try to explain to them that their clean and all the mess if any is inside the tank

Mine is also in my kitchen but i have my own apartment and chose to put it there. Maybe you should consider rehoming them if you can't provide them a suitable place. And try to get crabs when your old enough to live on your own and decide on your own where to keep them l.

I love them too much to give away will the kitchen fumes be harmful idk...

It depends what you have going on there and if you love them and can't care for them please consider someone else who can for their well being but only you can make that choice and know if your conditions are. Ok

Hi!
It is totally your parents right to determine where they want you to keep any pets in their home.
Perhaps you can print out the care guides and explain to them in a calm manner that the crabs will be in a sealed tank, and that all of the movement in the kitchen and laundry room will be detrimental to their well being?
Any smoke from accidental burning of food or fumes from cleaning products can harm them.
I am sure that you love your crabs and want the best for them.
Hopefully your parents will be willing to compromise.
