I'd go with the 6x 23 inch one.

Is that the one for 20 to 30 gallon tanks?

You can measure to be sure. But as far as I remember a 20 tall is 24 inches long, so that would cover the whole back, as well as the top 6 inches of the tank. The sizes represent inches, so measure and see about what size you'd need. I just used google and chose the size that I'd choose for that length of tank.

What kind of UTH are you planning on getting? Ultratherm has 6" by 23" (the size I'm currently using and it can be insulated) but it doesn't say 20-30 gallon on it. What brand?

Since I don't derive, I do everything online. I'm ordering the air pump, tubing, & air stones for the bubbler(I think it's all that's required for it) and I'm ordering spaghum moss, instant ocean, and I'm trying to find a uth. I can't find a care sheet with brands for them, but on drsfosterandsmith they have an exo terra desert heat wave mat that is 8x8, exo Terra rainforest heat mat that is 10x11, and the zoo med uth either 6x8 or 8x12. Any recommendations? I can always get one from eBay too

I would recommend the brand mentioned called ultratherm. You can buy it from the websites Bean Farm and Reptile Basics. I bought mine at Reptile Basics and got it withing 2 days :)

I feel you so hard!

But it'll be worth it to know you've provided the very best conditions you can for an animal that, more often than not, falls into really poor circs.
You are awesome!

Yeah, I think we all feel the $pain! Lol! Setting up the tank and getting all the basic supplies is where the vast majority of us have money evaporating. But once all is said and done, that's it :) Fairly easy upkeep after that :)

Just make sure you don't try to insulate the heat mat, don't want any hazards.
