How can I enlarge my crabitat?

If you busted out the bottom of another 'tat and then put it on top, it would add an entire tanks worth of height. Of course, if you decide to go 'tat busting, be careful when busting the glass out of the bottom one!

Then, you could use aquarium glue to connect it to your current 'tat. The only problem I see with this is access into the 'tat would be extremely difficult. You'd have to stand on a chair or something to get inside!

I would be worried about loosing too much humidity with the cage toppers!

I have also wondered how I can increase my tank space without purchasing another tank. I already have 3 seperate tanks. One thing you could do is look for a plastic sheet supplier in your area. They always have scrap pieces that you can buy or you could buy a 4'x8' sheet. I buy these sheets for my job all the time. The typical price for a sheet that is 3/8 thick is $80. yeah i thought about that. gotta cover it up with something so the humidity doesn't escape... perhaps someone creative can chime in on that dilemma

Yeah, I do have an extra level, a shower caddy for a moss pit (LOVE the hanging clay pot!), but what I want to do is make the entire aquarium bigger by adding something to the top, like this:



The blue area is what I would like to do. Hope that made things a bit clearer. I'm just not sure what to make it out of, or how to go about doing it. I was thinking it could be a box made from sheets of Plexiglas glued together with aquarium sealer, but I don't know how well that would hold up.

you could get another tank of the same size, take the bottom off, or part of the bottom off and attach it on top. Taking only art of the bottom off would give you some of a platform. If you do that, you should wait for petco's $1/gallon sale
