Is Acetal ok for construction?

Is there a safe plastics list out there?
Obviously polyethylene is safe since so many use egg crate/plastic canvas. What about acetal (or Delrin)?
I have some old robotics (Vex) components in storage and I was thinking about building a small hamster wheel out of one of the acetal bushing blocks and and acetal gears. Using plastic canvas attached to the gear to get the walking surface. Since Acetal is generally food safe for people I don't think it would cause an issue, just thought I'd see what everyone thought.

When in doubt, check if it's reef safe. Corals are even more sensitive than hermits! Look like this one is known to be okay.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. Good to note about the reef safe lookup.
