Tank topper size question

Post by A.finn » Thu Apr 10, 2025 9:29 am

Currently I am trying to figure out what size tank topper I need. I have a 50 gallon tank that is 48 long by 13 wide (inches). Does anyone know what size Exo Terra topper I should buy? I'm a bit confused on figuring out the sizing.

I don’t think Exo-terra has a tank that will fit that nicely. Fifty-gal is not a standard size so you may have some trouble finding anything premade

You aren't going to find a front opening tank that is 48x 12 but any tank that's about 12 inches wide will work you'll just have either have a piece that doesn't have a topper and youll have to make a lid for it plexiglass or cloroplast can be cut down to size for this purpose or use 4 12×12 toppers though at that price you may as well look into something custom id personally recommend a 29 gallon topper with a plexiglass lid in the part that isn't covered
