warning: aiptasia-x causes fatal molts

Post by annopia » Sun Feb 15, 2009 11:36 pm

i have an aiptasia problem in my tank (a particular anemone that multiplies like crazy) and bought a product called aiptasia-x to take care of it, after i was assured by my LFS that it was completely safe for the tank. unfortunately, i am almost positive that is not the case in the six months before i used it, i lost two crabs, one from PPS and one from a shell fight gone ugly. since using it, i have had 3 fatal molts in as many weeks-all of them the same, the exo is shed completely, but the crab is unable to recover, drops all new limbs, and dies.

the first to go was my precious princess Mercury, my favorite, and i am heartbroken. the 3 crabs were all different species...i would advise others with MHC to never use this product.
