Crabitat

Post by AML » Sun Jan 15, 2017 5:57 pm

It's been forever since I posted in here so I'll give an update to my babies and the evolution of their crabitat. I still have the 4 that made the big move last summer from TN to TX: Gajeel, Erza, Luffy, and Nami are all doing super great and growing! I have 3 down now with only lonely Gajeel up. I guess he is bored because he has been changing shells everyday which he never does. He keeps swapping between a brown turbo and his old white murex shell. Anyways, I have been doing work on my crabitat so I'll share some pics of how it looks now! I'm quite proud of it! I ended up having to get a third heat pad but now their tank stays at 80 degrees and they have been more active since. Before it stayed around 70. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Haha yeah my cat loves to sit on top of the tank. He always looks so proud, like he is surveying his land. I think it's his pride rock haha.
Thanks! [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

My tank is 40 gal. And it was a huge pain moving them lol. I had to take all the sand out and I put them in a plastic kritter carrier. I was worried about them because I could not keep the carrier humid or warm and I know they got cold. I had a piece of apple and a small thing of water for them. They all buried down in the sand for pretty much the whole time. But it was only for about 3 or 4 days days and once I set their tat back up I put 'em in and hoped things would heat up quickly. Didn't lose any! Image

OMG, the gravel made me laugh. I'm currently in the process of removing the few remaining patches of that very similar gravel from one of my fish tanks! But your tat looks awesome, love all the climbing pieces.
