IMO, a tattoo can totally be a tribute to someone or something, without being exactly the same. I agree that the colors of a PP will look great for this big tat!
My snowy owl is in memory of an auntie. My paw print is the actual imprint of one of my old dog's paw. Both are equally meaningful to me.

Most of my tattoos are where I can see them. Only 2 where I can't. If I can't see them, why get them. Lol
I keep trying to plan everything out in my head. My side piece, from my hip to below my armpit was in development for about 5-6 years. I'm not sure I will to my other side, it was baaaad! My right arm is sleeved. I didn't want to do anything on my left arm yet, that's probably going to be dedicated to Halloween! 🎃 I went with the crab on my right calf because I had a piece done by the same artist on the opposite calf. I figured the same style would balance my calves out! Plus I could something of decent size. I want to hold off on my shins because I always bash them off stuff so that would destroy a tattoo.

Well here it is all colored. My artist said the coloring was a pain because every crab is different with their colors!

It's a bad picture. I will try and get more pictures tomorrow.

Sweet! What a great job the artist did!
I see you have a critter terrarium in front of you. What's in that one?

How neat! Image
Wow, 20 years old! What's her lifespan?
I have a Russian Tortoise that can live 50+ years. I'm in my 30s, so I always joke I'll have to leave her in my will to someone lol. Image
