this is nelson he is a large and 2 months ago upgraded to roomy house , the fun part is how he sleeps

he puts the one end high up on the tank and lets it all hang out, confidently!

My dominant crab sleeps like the dead, he has a couple choice spots that he has piled up mostly coco fibre and he sleeps with his head laying on the ground with all six front arms flat on the ground too. For the first year that I had him I was sure he was dead every time he did it...
This is not a great picture of it but it shows how he sleeps while doing it lol...
Then if you wake him up he slowly gets up and just waves his antenna at you like "what what!!, what did I miss...¿"

That's funny.

I have a big guy who sleeps out in the open, too, all slumped over and totally relaxed. I got so worried at first because none of my other crabs do that. Then I googled "sleeping hermit crab" and was like, "Oh, okay, then."
