No it was for getting in my personal lap top. A friend googled it and found steps on how to fix it. He said Windows 7 has been having issues something about all the sudden it won't recognize your accounts and log in. He did away w my pass word so I don't have it any more. But if you want to see what I am talking about Google Windows 7 won't let me log in. Now it works. Something like this happened last year to.

@Laurie, I know what your talking about and why it happens but I have not had it happen to me.Basically Microsoft has been patching Windows 7 a lot lately due to new issues with the operating system security and from what I've read a few of these updates have had some unintended side effects they've been known to accidentally remove some key BIOS or Kernel entries that actually control the computers ability to remember your password so when you enter it the computer just doesn't recognize it which causes the profile login failure. The only way to fix the issue is to restore the OS to when it actually worked by booting up into safe mode and then using the system restore function this method only works if you can get into safe mode some people ran into the unique issue of having the boot run command fail to auto load safe mode because the kernel or registry entry for safe mode was also missing or hidden. This is a common tactic for tougher malware to stop the user from being able to get into safe mode and run an anti-virus/anti-malware program so in a way one or more of the system updates responsible for the issue is behaving like a virus....I know one of the updates that has caused this kind of issue was designed to close a back door access in the OS that some very prevalent viruses like to use to get into your computer without alerting your anti-virus program thats its there. These back doors are left overs by the designers from when the OS was being built, its easier to leave them open than to patch them closed so our computers come out of the box full of potential hidden access points in the OS which the manufacturer then has to patch to deal with when they become compromised.

Pass words have been removed. Anyone can get on it. Like I have anything to hide. We don't have any banking or things like that on it

Nowadays that's probably a good thing you don't have any bank info on your computer. I like sending money order or I do have a card that I can load money onto but I only put what I need to pay for so if it gets compromised there isn't anything on it for them to steal.@crabber if they're having so many problems with windows 7 and patching so much what one would be better to have?

@jenok, windows 8 has been chalk full of its own sercurity issues and has had as many patches as windows 7 so either way you go your going to be dealing with a lot of security updates/patches and new vulnerablilities with each new update/patch.The reason for this cycle of patch and flaw is because the guys and guys who write malicious code ie viruses/malware/worms and trojans are always obtaining info on upcoming patches so they can constantly be modifiying and adapting their programs to infect our machines no matter how quickly or how often Microsoft or Apple finds these flaws and then builds and releases patches for them and the sad fact is it has been proven that a lot of rogue code writers are acutally code writers for Microsoft or Apple which gives them the advantage because they are designing the very saftey measures ment to stop them so we get handed a false sense of security and an already comprimised patch and its a never ending cricle. There really is no Real Cyber Security in the truest since of the word unless you rely completely on thrid party security programs to do all of the monitoring and cleaning of your PC or Mac automatically.Theres a new type of Malware making the rounds that infects its target's OS using a back door access key that allows itself to slip in undetected and also alows it to skip the part where ordinary infections typically have to write a command line to the HKCU Run directory which causes the computer to automatically run the infection during the initial start up cycle when you first turn your computer on.Most newer anti-virus/anti-malware programs are designed to run a check of the HKCU directory to look for infection file commands which allows the anit-virus program to identify and quarentine the threat, well this new variant doesn't have to write itself to your HKCU registry to cause your computer to run it so it avoids normal detection methods this way which makes it virtually impossible to detect and remove...The world of virtual infections is getting smarter and more sophisticated which is making it much much harder on the good guys to design methods to detect and remove them.
