JurassiDiet Hermit Crab Food Good?
Hello!I was looking around and a lot of people have posted about food on here so I thought this is a good place to ask. Is JurassiDiet Hermit Crab Food good for them? Does any one use it? My sisters Hermit crabs have it though I haven't seen them eat it and they are usually awake at night only so I come in and watch them for a little bit around 12 to make sure they are eating and drinking... I've seen them drinking but never eating their pellets only the fresh stuff I put in around eight. They really like bananas not so much green stuff. Should we get another kind of food? we give them fresh stuff every night and shrimp every four days or so sometimes three. they really like that. Should we get other food?

Fresh food is really good for them. For ideas see the food list here. The last time I looked at the JurassiDiet it had ingredients which made it unsuitable for hermit crabs. I doubt they have changed their formula. If you want good dry foods I would go to The Hermit Crab Patch or The Hermit Crab Addiction Store.

Thanks! I have the dried shrimp from Walmart they LOVE IT! I mean it was only in the tank for like two seconds before it was swarmed. I'll be sure to stop feeding them the food them... It's a shame seeing how it cost my mum five bucks. I looked at the list and mixed a bunch of the dry stuff on the list together... I have a feeling making our own is probably going to be the cheapest and easiest way to go. I had taken it out of their cage already, Glad I did. I'm positive they should be very happy with what we are going to be feeding them with fresh stuff. Though of corse we'll give them treats like the shrimp and fruit mix. does any one know the amount of protein, calcium, ect they need? That way I can Be sure they are getting EVERYTHING.
