mounting uth on 20 gallon tall

I'm trying to picture this and not sure if I'm right . The 20 tall is about 12 1/2 to 13 inches front to back & 17 inches tall. The Med Zoo Med UTH is 8x12 inches. So I can mount it on the end above my 6 inches of substrate.Sorry, I'm just not sure if this is right. I think I did it wrong last time.

Sounds like it but once you have it home, put it against where you want it before removing the covering. If it doesnt look right, try a different spot. I have 4 on my 55 gallon, only one of which are on at the moment because it is summer but come winter they are barely enough. I have two large with the long sides facing the ceiling and one med short side on the back and one med short side up on the side. The two short side up ones would not fit otherwise.
