Is this okay for the crabs or is their any other san dthat is fine im changinh from eco earth

Yes, Quikrete brand is fine as long as it says play sand. Like this. The important part is that it says play sand, different brands are fine. Prefer indoor location, center of the pile, no rips or tears, no oily odor.

Will one 50 pound bag fill a 20 gallon a few inches deep

Possibly. Definitely if you mix in a block or two of EE. You know you want it a minimum of 6 inches correct?
