Our hermie died....

One of our hermies, Squishy, died this morning...we've had him for about 6-8 months now...about a week ago i was putting fresh food in the tank when i noticed him sitting in the salt water dish and hardly moving at all...usually he goes back into his shell when i'm changing the food or water...when i picked him up he was moving in slow motion!!...so i quickly put him in ISO making sure humidity and temps were perfect for him...he sat under one of the hermie huts in ISO for about 5 days...when i checked on him on the 6th day, he was out of his shell completely!!...i rinsed the extra shells i had in there with him with salt water in hopes that he would go to them, but he was still moving really slow...well, this morning we found him across the ISO tank, still naked and dead...i can't imagine what have happened to him...i dont think he was ready to molt since he wasn't showing any pre-molting signs...what could have made him so lethargic and then suddenly die??...i dont think i've ever had a death like this...
