My new setup so far! 26G tank!

Post by Garrow67 » Sat Mar 02, 2019 5:52 pm

I want to add more and change more but this is my new tank so far! Jumba loves it! Pleakley and Nani are hiding though, but I'm sure by tommorow they will be exploring like mad!ImageImageImageImage

Looking good so far. The only thing I am unsure of would be the duct tape holding the moss pit up in the corner. I would be worried about the crabs picking at the tape and either getting stuck on it and or ripping their antennae, or leg hairs off if it peels.

So far there have been no problems with it, but I will keep an eye on it and if I see them start picking at it I will remove it. So far Jumba just likes climbing up there and watching everyone

looks nice! what kind of ramp is that into the pool? pools need some work, i'm considering different systems for redoing them.

have you thought about hanging some netting or fake plants along the back wall to give them something to climb? i find organic burlap from the gardening section works quite well for this purpose and is super cheap. they also like eating it :)

The ramp is actually made of plastic orange netting that I boiled, it has rocks under it and it is tied with zip ties. my biggest crab ignores it and climbs the back, but my smallest likes to hang on to the netting and dip his front two feet in! It makes me laugh. I ended up changing some of the settup as the thing I was using for my second level started rusting, so I am getting creative with new fun things for them. I bought some fake vines but so far none of my crabbiest have noticed them
