Help!
I am a new hermit crab owner, I have been researching them for months and finally came upon a pair that were being poorly cared for. So I got the correct tank, a 15 gallon glass tank. They have plenty of substrate which they love to bury in(probably because they were neglected) and eat regularly. The humidity is kept at 70-80, they have enough heat but I have yet to see them use their salt water or fresh water bowls. Is this normal? What should I do? Should I place them in the bowl? Are they using them when I don’t see? I am worried and am curious if this is common?
Re: Help!
They will find the waters! Being scavengers, they will find everything eventually! Can you post pics of your crabitat?

Re: Help!
It's very normal to think they aren't using the water! Most crabs will dip a leg in, and of course, they are so tiny that what they do drink is so small you won't see a difference. They don't hang around the water much either, so you'd have to be watching most of the day to catch them drinking.

Re: Help!
Agreeing with wodesorel-- my crabs don't really go into the water, or at least I haven't seen them do so. They just chill out by the pools (I can almost imagine them wearing sunglasses!).
