Indonesian Crab Care
title says it all, but i guess it's a multi-typed question, i was curious if anyone who's around here at the moment know more about in-depth indo care? like humidity, temps, that dealio- I know there's the care sheets, but those stay pretty basic and are older.
Also, how much bigger do Indos get then PP's? ( like for comparison, jumbo PPs and jumbo indos- from what i've read jumbo indos can weigh up to half a pound )

Re: Indonesian Crab Care
I'm going to tag @Overmountain1 because she has an Indo crabby. Maybe she can give you the specifics you're looking for.

Re: Indonesian Crab Care
Thanks for thinking of me! I sent a PM.
In regards to size- assuming they live long enough, they’ll be bigger than the PPs overall, and not yet quite as big as a coconut crab (aside from their cartoon pinchers lol!)
I only have the one just now, but RiNiKy506 has her 3 species buddies held in reserve once we can get together and trade crabs. It’s gonna be awesome!
But, they haven’t been eating much, we think they’re needing a molt right now. Otherwise she might be able to share some more about those ones too!

Indonesian Crab Care
I’m not really sure what to think of the Indos. I’ve heard they eat a lot and they can when they do eat but these guys have me thinking they don’t touch their food for days sometimes. I watch the cameras to look back and see they do come out. They’re just very shy, I think just trying to adjust. They do like fresh water a lot, I see them swim quite often. I haven’t had them very long, maybe a month by now, I think. I am trying to transition with shallow sub, to deter from molting, and get them to eat as much as possible to build up strength since we don’t know where they came from or what they’ve been through. I think I’m going to do their sub up to 7” this weekend sometime, it’s time to let them do their thing. I have had two shell changers, so that’s a good sign. I usually just try to stick to the basic strawberry hermit crab care for my exotics, it’s usually really close to being the same.
