Maybe an upgrade?? Sizing help
I currently have 5PP and 2 unknown crabs. 3-4 are large (not 100% on how to size them correctly I'm newish to the crabs) and the others are medium. I have 2 tanks, one 37 tall and a 40 breeder, all of the crabs are in the 40 because the other was given to me with 4 crabs and wasn't adequate for the crabbys health. I haven't had time to set it back up and I will be moving quite soon so moving 1 tank is enough. My question is how big of a tank will I need to house all 7 crabs happily? The sizing chart I have says 7 large can be in a 40gal but that seems a bit crowded to me. I'd like them to have room to play. Any suggestions?? I don't have tons of room for a huge tank but an upgrade would be wonderful. Thank you in advance!!

No one has replied yet and I’m no expert, but something along the lines of 60 gallons may be better for them

I have 7 crabs in a 55 gal (48" x 13" x 21"), although there's one crab I haven't seen in a very long while. They have a ton of climbing space, hiding areas, and shell shops, so it seems to work. But I say go as big as you have room for!

I know they are crowded now. I just really didn't want them in the calcium sand any longer. (I did quarantine them for 2wk) I was thinking along the lines of a 75gal. I definitely have the space for it and it seems like they would have growing room. Where should I be looking for a new tank. FB market place... Craigslist? Anyone know the details on Petco's $1 per gal sale?? I'd rather not spend $200+ on a tank. I've looked into a 55gal tank. I would actually loose floor space if I went from my 40 breeder to a 55.
