insulated heating

Post by lopgoat » Sat Feb 13, 2021 10:52 pm

I got a new heating pad, and I was wondering if it was possible to insulate it with the tin foil + cardboard method?

(this isnt the gallon size that i have but this is the brand im using)

And if so, do I put the tin foil or cardboard first? (touching the pad/glass)

This has an adhesive on it (and looks to be padded), so you can't insulate it. However you can insulate around it if you need too.
The aluminum foil is wrapped around the cardboard, shiny side out, then duct taped against the tank.

And by around, we mean on the tank around the UTH (a little cutout of insulation where the UTH sits)
