Re: Weird illness
I had similar from chemical burns to my crabs when I had too much salt in their substrate. It cleared up completely on their next molt, but they never acted odd either.
I'm wondering if they are physically being eaten by something. I think it's telling that it's on their underside and potentially on their tails, which is their softest bits. Are you seeing anything on their darker exo areas? Any signs of insects in the tank, perhaps nocturnal?

I have shared the photo on hca fb.
There is no salt in there sub, Also never saw issues b4 adding the moss is wen spots appeared. It looks like maybe the moss had insects or something in it. There is already h.miles in the tank so it cant be any mites or knats I tried fixing it with h.miles no success

Re: Weird illness
I can see it, but I have no idea. Looks like it could be bacterial or fungal colonies. Can you see anything growing in the shells they have deserted?

Re: Weird illness
Nope nothing on another page someone found peppering dots on crabs can be caused by internal parisites. So maybe that?

Re: Weird illness
Boil all your (currently unused) shells; boil any shells they subsequently cast off, and keep your conditions as optimal as you can.
What did that other page recommend to do if you thought crabs had internal parasites?

Re: Weird illness
They are not bubbles they are flat not raised of the limbs at all all crabs mentioned are in ios and their tank is being torn down as it has spread thro the whole tank. They are getting h.miles overnight shipped and are on a crab safe anti parasitic herb blend.
To the other commenter please post a photo it sounds like a bacterial or shell rot, the parisites are only if its peppered exactly like mine. Its more common in marine crabs but the wild moss introduced it.

Re: Weird illness
Parasites are normally species specific and can only occur where their food source lives. Unless this moss was collected from the tip of Florida where wild PPs live (and often within a few days as parasites have short lifespans) it couldn't bring in a crab parasite. Marine species also don't share parasites with land species because of the way water versus air affects the life cycles.

Are they immune to the parisites dogs and other pets can get outside?
