It's dechlorinated salt water. Or do you mean fresh water? We wanted everyone to smell the same. We had no idea how all the new crabbies would act towards each other

Yes, I think dechlorinated fresh water is better - but that is just my opinion :) When I add crabs to my crabitats, I dip them into the freshwater of the crabitat. :)

We got the last 4! It's been a successful trip! 11 in all! Now going to That Pet Place! It's been quite a journey and everybody that we have met are very happy that their beloved claw babies are coming home with us! All that food was gone, even the popcorn. I had to refill the dish! I'm sure they will love the 100's of foods we have for them! More pics later after we get these guys settled in!ImageImageImageImage

Well everyone is in their new home now! I'm beat almost 10 full hours on the road. The only hiccup was when I accidentally went through an EZ Pass lane on the toll road. I'll have to get that figured out early next week.

Everyone was very happy to see these guys come home with us. Even their kids were happy after seeing the videos and their new homes!

Here are the up close photos of everyone as we put them in the tank.

...aaaand two more. Everyone gave us several shells. We also picked up another 10 gallon tank, heat rock, and a small and large container of instant ocean!

All the crabs seemed to do good in the car. All the popcorn was gone and the krill! Once we put everyone in the tank they all ran and hid. Everyone appears to be in good shape, all natural shells and no broken legs that we have seen.

A special thank you to Christina, she included tons of crabby foods from Wodsorel, lots of awesome shells, and a bunch of Cholla and other stuff. She was happy to see her 3 guys come with us. We all gave hugs and went on our way. I'm sure we will keep in touch so she can check up on everyone.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

2 of the crabs changed shells already! 1 guy ran off with a minnow head after eating the eyes out of it! Other crabs are still trying on different shells. I think they are going to be fine!

Our thoughts exactly! She had a screen lid on the tank and blue gravel mixed with sand. The first 4 were definitely rescues.

Yes it was. We have no use for it. We get a lot of weird and bad stuff when we get rescues. We still have a new ( and nice) hamster cage, 3 ten gallon tanks, heat Rock, painted shells, painted gravel. We take these things so they don't get reused.

What a haul! I love it when adoptions work out like that. I never ever get upset at people asking for adoption fees or reselling items to other crabbers but it also sure is exciting to get free new-to-me crab gear
