Crab not going in its house

Post by UVA2002 » Sun Mar 08, 2015 6:21 pm

Hello everyone been a avid reader here and crabbing for a while now and have 3 pp that are super happy and healthy.

My question is while 2 of my crabs are under right now the other guy is non stop on a tear and will not go in his cocohut for some reason. I removed it cleaned the sand and poop everywhere but when he runs for the door he stops like there a force field there and his antenna start going then he heads beside/behind it. When I switched it with the fake plastic one he stopped at the door feelers did their thing then went right in like normal.Weird. He's eating fine and is healthy just more strange acting than usual. Not saying it's related to the other two not being around at the moment but I thought is was worth mentioning. Thanks a lot.

Hi! I would not worry. Crabs definitely have minds of their own and their behavior sometimes changes.
