We have 29 crabs of all sizes and 2 kinds. Are there ways to tell approximately how old they are? They all grow at different rates, molt at different times and for various periods of times. It may be impossible, but I'm curious if there are any ideas as how to guess ages.

There's definitely not a completely accurate way to tell the age of a crab, but we can best estimate how old they are. Unless you are the breeder, then you are certain how old your crabs are if you keep track of that.

you can remove the "skin" from behind their eyes when they die and it shows lines from how many times they have molted, kind of like a tree stump.
