Out of curiosity, if anyone knows what is the size difference between PP's and blueberries?

Title says it all, but I was curious about how really big blueberries get in comparison to PPs due to how elusive true blueberries are among crabbers, I'd like to say they can roughly get to the same size as jumbo PP's but I can't be so certain.

The pet store I went to a while back indicated a tank full of "blueberries" and they were more expensive than the tank of PP's but honestly they all looked the same. The blueberries were perhaps a different shade of purple, but it was really subtle and each crab was really different anyway. If I'm being honest, they probably just picked up a bunch of crabs on the beach and said "these guys are gonna be blueberries because they're a little bigger so we"re gonna charge an extra two bucks" and they stuck them into different tanks

There has actually been a history of crabs being mislabeled as blueberries, because blues were in such demand and commanded such a high price. Usually, they were some sort of exotic species, just not the one that was expected.

It seems that at least one shop is now doing this with Lila's, probably because they are the newest and hottest species today.

Sadly that is the case, but it seems like they key to telling REAL blueberries apart is looking at their joints which are usually yellow or orange, PP's tend to be more in the red spectrum, and the bottom of the legends at least have some sort of faint shade of red, yellow, or pink.

Does anyone here know how big real blueberries get though?

They haven't been available in probably 6 or 7 years? The ones that were imported died within a couple of years. I don't think you'll find much info.
