My hermit crab is fine but doesn’t have a shell on

Post by Crabadoo2 » Sun Oct 11, 2020 3:34 am

I don’t know if my crabs are just weird but today I found a hermit crab that didn’t hv a shell. I just thought it was so weird cos all the others r fine, tank conditions are great and the hermit crab was fine (eating, drinking) and stuff like that. Is there a possibility that it could be a personality.

A hermit crab that drops it's shell is too weak to carry it. It must be re-shelled asap or it will not survive. Here is the link on how to do that:

I'd also recommend filing out the emergency template so we can get a better look into your tank conditions.

If you copy and paste the emergency template, we can help trouble shoot what happened if you want.
