My crazy new crab, dory has changed shells 3 times already in 1 1/2 days!! I heard that E's changing shells is rare!?!

I finally got found an e at petco! I'm not sure they realized he was different because he was the only one. I have two more on the way from live hermitcrabs.com plus a possible extra! I'm so ecited right now!!!! I named him dory and he is sooooo active!

That would probably be ok as long as u put play sand on top of it. Also if ur just trying to enhance humidity since ur tank is small I think spritzing it would do the trick

Welcome to the community. Well it sounds like it may be calci sand and that clumps and cakes on moisture. Also I would recommend using regular playsand from the hardware store because it's cheaper and you need it to be sand castle consistency which play sand achieves well ( obviously ) any more ques...

UPDATE: he has re-shelled in a thick gold mouth turbo but I'm afraid he'll come out again since it is heavey and when I saw him he was upside down. I'll offer him a lighter she'll and see what happens
