My crab hasn't moved in 4 days is he dead?
he doesn't smell. I just wanted to confirm death cause in like 90% sure but is there another reason he would not move ive even tried putting food infront of him but he didn't even go into he shell.

I would say because your house stays so warm that a thermostat is highly recommended only because it might get a bit hot for them. And I don't know about larger tanks because I only have a 29 gallon.

Did you take off the heat mat? If so you need a new one because when you peel it off it can cause damage to the internal wires. Also all zoomed's should be sticky and stick to the tank (unless you've used it and then removed it). It also depends on the normal heat in your house for if you need anoth...

So I'm looking at the pet store and the only heat mats they have are all things living and great choice and zoomed. I currently have a tank heater by zoomed and it's not as warm as I would like so is either one of the others a good option?

Adding a sponge to the waters helps too or just putting one in the tank and keeping it wet. As well as misting the tank (with fresh declorinated water). And making sure your substrate is wet but not soaking.
