Hi there! When at the pet store, Thor was probably putting off molting as the conditions weren't right. There's nothing to be worried about! That means he is happy with the conditions you have him in and he feels comfortable enough to do the molting in your 'tat! Also, you said he was your smallest....

I too would love reading and learning about them.... and possibly set up my own tank in the future... But I am kind of worried we don't have enough people that knows marine hermits as well as we know land hermies...

But if we can do it, I am all for it.

Yep, The moss BAB gave me is now a moss pit and my Straws and E's love to go over there and nibble on it. I also found that my new E's are ALWAYS! in the food dish first! lol

Last night my crabs go a cherry tomatoe, peanut butter, romaine lettuce, carrots, some plum, sprinkled with some algea powder.

They sure loved the cherry tomatoe.

Yep, he should be fine without his BP. He will molt soon since he has good conditions, and will regrow the BP. Good Luck!
