Re: Saltwater Setup

I do this too- but with glass gallon jugs. I have to refill/replace my freshwater constantly, but my saltwater tends to last longer, around two weeks. I would get larger jugs, but I simply don't have the space! [emoji23][emoji16]

Re: Finally redecorated the tank!

I love the colorful flowers! I'm curious if your crabs will climb to the end of the flowers and fall off. I find they do that with the foliage. Thank you! I haven't seen them climb on top of the flowers yet, but both of them have tightroped at the very top of the jute cord net, traveled all the way...

Re: Finally redecorated the tank!

To make a shower caddy look natural, you can weave and zip tie plastic plants through the square holes I've tried that, but I've never cared for the look with the types of leaves I have. They end up falling apart as I weave them, and then the moss always gets caught in the vine when I replace it. I...

Re: Finally redecorated the tank!

Beautiful! I absolutely love those floral decorations :cloud9: I am coming up to decorating my tank a bit more, and adding substrate. Otherwise, I don’t do major changes often. I love your tank layout. It's so symmetrical, clean, and natural looking! I look forward to seeing what you decorate with!...

Finally redecorated the tank!

Florals, cork, grapewood, larger water pools! I also got rid of my shower caddy moss pit. It was becoming a hassle rewetting the moss and having the crabs spew moss everywhere. Instead the moss pit is in the sub (held by doubled Tupperware) I prefer a natural look, and I was inspired by some of the ...

Re: Crabby introductions- picture heavy!

Thank you guys! These two have been with me since they were tiny, and I'm incredibly proud that they've molted several times and grown into really distinct personalities so far. More pics coming soon! [emoji3]

The lighting is a LED light strip that came with the tank and attaches to the hood

Re: Quick question about cork

Hi Leah! I live in Florida like you. All of my tanks stay at a consistent 99% humidity, and none of my cork bark has ever molded. Even the cork bark that stays in the iso tote that I have has never molded. I don't know if it's our weather or the room I have them in, but I've never experienced an is...

Quick question about cork

I'm currently in the middle of revamping my tank. I'm planning on adding driftwood and some cork. I'm going to soak the driftwood in saltwater since it'll probably mold (and then dry it in the sun after), but what about cork? Does it mold at all under the high humidity? Or can I just pop it in? Re: Crabby introductions- picture heavy!

Thank you all for the kind comments!! I always feel so privileged when I'm able to take pictures before they scurry away. I've always liked the tank to look more natural and lush, but I'm planning on adding florals, cork and grapevine in the tank. I'll make sure to share lots of pictures when I swit...

Crabby introductions- picture heavy!

The title say it all [emoji16] since I've been here for while now, I thought it might be nice to introduce my two crabs and share some pictures! I got both crabs, Kai and Tai together. When I first got them, they looked so alike- same coloration, almost the same size, similar preferences in food, sh...
