Re: My Girls in Their New Tank

That's still fairly recent. When I got my girls, Teto went down and molted within two days and I didn't see her again for a month and a half. Maybe some of them are molting? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk I do believe one is molting. He hasn't been seen for about a week and a half. The one "...

Re: My Girls in Their New Tank

What is your temp? If it's on the lower side that may be why. Are your other conditions good? Substrate height, humidity... The temp stays around 76-82 (uth and heat lamp depending on the temp). The uth I have on the back spans about 2/3 of the tank from the top of the tank to just under the sub. I...

Re: My Girls in Their New Tank

We got the first 3 at the end of July and the 4th around the end of August. I just wish they were more active so I could see what they do lol

Re: My Girls in Their New Tank

That looks awesome! Quick question, how do so many people get these pics of active crabs?! Mine don't do anything. I even have a motion camera set up and all they do is come out to eat and then go back to hiding. I'm not even sure they have been using the pools I made them. Sent from my SM-G955U usi...

Re: Humidity Low in Larger Tank

Okay, but remember that they DO need air exchange. I fix that by making at least one of my water sources bubble pools (they either both are, or the MSW pool is a bubble pool and the fresh water source is a fountain); that way there is fresh air regularly moving into the tank, but it comes up throug...

Re: Stole the green sand

I stole this from another post: Greensand comes off of the ocean floor. It is packed full of nutrients. The crabs LOVE it. I keep it in my tanks at all times. It is actually a mineral called Glauconite. Oh okay! Do you go out and just get sand from the ocean or do you order it? Sent from my SM-G955...

Molting crab

Hello! I have a crab that has been under (all the way on the bottom- I can see him through the bottom) for a little over a month. I didn't time when he went down exactly but I know it has been a little over a month. I have since changed their tank to a 20 gallon long and left him in the 10g. He was ...

I had the whole top covered until I got the heat lamp. Once I get the bigger heating mat, i won't need the light anymore!

Re: Heat/humidity issues

Okay that makes sense! Yes the one I have is zoomed. I just assumed it was for anything living in a tank that size! It was driving me crazy because I already have a thermostat and it never reached the temp it needed to shut off (80°). The substrate is mostly eco earth, which a small section mixed wi...

Heat/humidity issues

Hello! I am new here and I have tried searching for the answers to my questions but I am at a loss. I have a 10 gallon tank with 3 small hermies. Originally one was given to my daughter for her 4th birthday and I had NO CLUE they were so delicate. Since researching I have been doing my best at stabi...
