CRAB ID

Post by ciaraalston » Sat Sep 14, 2019 9:51 pm

Hey yall!!
We are vacation, and my boyfriend's little sister wanted some hermit crabs. We have a spare 10 gallon and we decided to set it up in her room at our house. Shes rarely there, so they will probably be going into the 80 with ours, but for now we dont mind taking care and having an extra tank ImageImage

We got 4, two for me and two for her. I've always only seen purple pinchers at these shops, but these have different colors. They're so beautiful so I was wondering if anyone knew what kind they are?
Here's some pictures.

Oh, and shells are so cheap here! I got 8 in gulf shores, and tomorrow we will be in Biloxi so I'll grab some more :)

Enjoy pics!

They have some gorgeous colors, I think they are but I always second guess myself. They are beautiful crabbies!

Here's their temporary home until Monday night when we get home. I really hope they can make it.

They’ll be ok, find them some yummy crabby things for them to eat so they can have a good meal and they’ll be ok until you get them home.

You have E's! They are super crazy active and can run in all directions at once! You will have a fun time getting them to change shells. They are extremely stubborn when it comes to changing shells!

Oh I know allllllll about those stubborn shells! My e is WAY too big for his current shell, and refuses to change. I have given him tons of options. I bought some more here in gulf shores so hopefully he chooses a new home soon!

They are so adorable. Congrats on your new little buddies. I would love to have an E but they are so hard to find where I live.

Awe, I'm sorry!! They're decently uncommon around Louisiana as well, but we are on vacation and I stumbled across them!

Yes they are!!! I had 2 but one passed, so my other has been so lonely. He's stuck with a bunch of PPs. He's going to be so happy to have mates!!!!
