Shell ID

Post by Scarletfire » Wed Oct 09, 2019 8:13 pm

This guy came with his current shell. All other crabs have changed shells at least once, but this guy is sticking out with the current shell and absolutely loves it. What kind of shell is this? I was thinking of some kind of conch but I'm not sure.

I want to add even more shells to my.. Errr... The crab's shop. ImageImage

I could be wrong (so someone correct me if I am), but I think that's a fiber conch shell?

Maybe a brown fox shell? Or like said above, it does look like a striped fox horse conch.

I used to know what that was because I had a little guy that liked them. I want to say it was either a conch or a whelk.

Most odd shell loving hermits will move on to either Tapestry or Fluctuosus by the time the reach one inch openings. They experiment more when small.
