I think it is safe to say that most of us feed our crabs better than ourselves.

I've been very busy and some nights I don't have time to give the crabs new food, so they've been getting mainly dried things. That way I can leave it in for a few days with no worry of mold or bugs.

Tonight is:
- Pumpkin seeds
- Dried coconut
- Dried blueberries
- Rolled oats
- Dried raspberry leaves
- Bell pepper
- Red palm oil

My crabbies absolutely LOVE the palm oil! They're all over it as soon as it goes in. :D

Cucumber, beets, garbanzos, green mix, and HCP protein mix, along w/ some crushed freeze dried mealworms, shrimp, and crickets. Dotted w/ a bit of organic honey.

In the seashell is crushed cuttlebone, crushed oyster shell, worm castings, and HCP mineral blend.

They polished off the cucumbers, worm castings, and the greens, I was surprised!

I decided I should give my crabs a feats tonight since they have been so good to me. And because I was bored. I usually only feed them one bowl with two or three things in it. But today I have fed them two bowls. Image
In the bowl on the top I have some applesause, coconut, and cuttlebone shavings.
In the second I have freeze dried brine shrimp, blood worms, freeze dried krill, surf and turf, bugs n blossoms, soil supplement , natural mineral supplement and oyster shell supplement. :) I hope they like it.

The crabs' food last night! The shells have chicken bones & some muscle meat. I made white chili last night and used split chicken breasts for the chicken. The crabs will be getting the bones plus the bits of meat, fat, cartilage that were left on them - I wrapped up several bundles in tinfoil & put them in a bag in the freezer for later meals.

And in the food dish they got krill, a cricket, two mealworms, powdered red lentils, dried bananas, and celery & dried pickles (from my food order from Wode!).

I checked when I got home from work today. The chicken is strewn everywhere in the tank. Going to be fun cleaning that up.  I know Pippin was all over both shells a lot last night, not sure who else tried it out. And the pickles are completely gone from the food dish, so that was apparently a huge hit too! I think they got into the lentils too, but the dried proteins weren't really touched (I expected that, but still wanted them to have more than one protein option anyway) and I can't tell if they ate off from the dried bananas.
