I don't know if I'm writing this in the right forum but ever since I put the my new crab Skids in the tank with Puddles, I think theyve become best friends. I caught them stacking on top of eachother the other day and I thought it was bad but apparently they do it out in the wild? They also climb on top of the bucket I have in my tank and they sit up there together. I thought it was really cute. Heres a picture.

Very cute! They're definately climbers. Do you have other things for them to climb?

I find that fallen tree branches, and found rocks make excellent cheap things to climb as long as you clean them first. Although I will have to say mine like the netted wall I put in as well.

You would have to be certain that any fallen tree branch hasn't been sprayed with pesticide and is on the safe wood list.

Yes I am aware of this, but I should of probably mentioned that. I tend to check my local area to make sure first. Even then I like to go to state parks to pick them up.
I tend to rinse them with regular water, followed by boiling them if I can fit the piece in a pot for at least 5 minutes in marine salt water. If I cannot fit it then I let them soak over night in marine salt water. After they dry out, I give them a wipe down with vinegar let dry then add it to their habitat. It might be over kill but I do it to limit any possible micro organisms, bacteria, eggs, larva, or any other bug. As well as to prevent mold growth.
