Possible crack in thermometer

There is moisture inside the thermometer....how do I be sure this isn't giving me a bad temp reading in my tank??

Compare it to another thermometer- and see how the 2 compare.

I meant if you have a house one, or outside one, generally the temp on the 2 should be the same. Or, look at the weather temp on your phone and see what reading the thermometer give you. It won't be exact, but it will let you know if its reading in the right ballpark.
