Finally, my little molter came up a few days ago and I finally actually saw her this morning! She was running all over and excited! So I got her out and gave her a bath and ended up placing her in the main tank! She is doing wonderful! I'm super happy I waited and asked all of you what to do!

thank you for the advice! First molter, check!

She looks good! As anxious as we crab parents get, we have to keep telling ourselves that the crabs know what they're doing: they'll go down when they're ready and come up when they're ready

That is beyond true! I was quite a bit worried. We brought her home on the 19th of last month! Never seen her since and then boom here she is! Doing pretty well! Thank you!

Yay : ) It is so exciting when they finally appear after the first molt with us. I am a new crabber also, and mine did the same thing and I was nervous and anxious for them to be ok while they were molting, and they came up fine : ) Congrats and enjoy! She is adorable : )

Oh yes! Just wait it out and offer food and water! I gave both salt and fresh I wasn't too sure If both were needed, but when I noticed the dirt it was in both! So she must have liked them! I was very worried, as well. It took her a little over a month to show me her, but a few days before a month to start showing signs of her being surfaced! So keep the faith!

Ugh i dont think RoxSand has touched any food or water [ill add a salt one bc im not sure either honestly!]. Tho i had to clean the tank [i had the wrong sand in and had gotten some mold/bugs] and found her so she is now in an iso tuppy in the main tank. So i feel better knowing the others cant bother her and where she is. Them being gone for so long is just hard and worrying.

Yeah, try the salt too. I had an egg shell in the tank, fruit, and a dry freeze cricket (the same we give our lizard) and she moved the crickets and egg around. How I noticed a few days back! I do understand that worry! I had all of them in that tank, until I upgraded! I moved everyone except her! Glad I did!

When i came home today i found a crab cover in sand in the iso tuppy. I honestly thought it was my largest crab Hermione that had snuck in untill i looked at her shell. So either RoxSand dug up and changed shells and is now closer to Hermione's size oooor Hermione changed shells....kinda maddening lol!
