Ill probably buy 2 at a store just to satisfy my insane crab acquisition lust and then wait to adopt the aditional 3 im looking for.

Ok so now theres the question of the lid. I have EVERYTHING set up. Temps are in the low 80s, humidity is good, i have basically all the decorations arranged (except the moss pit and shell shop, last 2 things to get, both will be soap dishes that go on the upper right and left sides). I bought a piece of acrylic thinking i would make a lid out of it and long story short, it is not really working out like i had hoped. So now i have to make myself a lid from scratch, since the tank is an unusual size. Luckily i dont think this will be too hard but I AM SO FRICKIN READY TO BE DONE SETTING THIS STUFF UP lol.

Sadly what yall cant see are the coconut hid hanging in the back left corner and the little rock hut in the bottom left corner behind the plant. This thing has so many hides in it everyone will have their own little pad!

U could take the exact measurements of your lid and have a piece of plexi glass cut to fit at home depo for pretty cheap. I have a half screen half plexi lid with a hinge thing in the middle and I think the lady I bought the tank from said she paid like $8 for the plexi side cut to fit.

Edit: since u already have a piece of acrylic u could take that in and have it cut down to fit

Thats what i thought i would do originally but when i went they said they cpuldnt cut it! Honestly i think the lid will be a pretty easy diy job and ultimately better anyways

Omg serrrrrrriously u have no idea. One time i wanted to rewire a lamp, which i had never done before i read some instructions online and could see it would be ridiculously easy, and i asked the lighting department manager what kind of shell i needed for it. He gave me the wrong kind and i ended up blowing out the power at my apartment lile 3 times, totally bewildered bc theres no way to mess this procedure up. I brought it back and the front desk guy was like, of course you blew out the fuses, this is the wrong one! [:evil:] *slams head repeatedly into wall*

Oh, and also i got a piece of lumber cut there last night so i cpuld make my tank lid and surprise, they cut one of the pieces too short. So im sitting in my car right now ready to waste another hour going back there to get it cut right.

So i made a lid for my tat. Heres some pics. Its almost done, i just need to finish stapling the screen in place and then trim it but it came GREAT. Second times the charm i guess! I left 2 inches on the ends to clamp lights to.
