upgrading the tank, and questions about E's

Hi guys i finally got another new tank, a 55 gal with a stand for $80!!! awesome. im hoping to put out 29 gallon on top for ultimate climbing space.

anyway i was just looking for some opinions about my current situation with my E. we accidently ended up with one E and 5 pp's when we bought our crabs from the pet store. i am horrified that i helped out the hermit crab pet store business, knowing what i know now, but im stuck in a pickle. i know my E should have a species buddy and i have reached out looking for another E for adoption online with no success. i know that our local Petco often has a big selection of E's, do you think that its worth buying to help out my lonely guy? or if anyone is looking for a home for their E i am willing to drive long distances to avoid having to support the pet store

Yes, if you post an ad to Craigslist with a picture of your new setup, I'm sure you will find a lot of people who are considering rehoming to you.

i have found a lot of people who are looking for homes for their crabs but only for PP's.
i am going to keep looking for a few months before resorting to the pet store.

i was really thinking about seperating our PP's and the E's if i do get him a buddy because the PP's seem to really "come out of their shell" when our E is underground. has anyone noticed any big differences in personality before/after seperating or first putting together their PP's and E's?

I don't know where you are but in Salt Lake we have petco and petsmart which I actively avoid. But there are 3-5 local pet stores with great products and they take care of their animals pretty well. Once I became a regular and the new my face they special ordered a few products for me. They are the only pet stores that I don't mind buying from because they at least make an effort and they give customers good info about pet care. If you have some in your area it might be worth looking into to buy another E.
