BaBa the little crab under sand

Post by smcc13 » Sun Feb 25, 2018 11:22 pm

My 2 year old has one crab he loves the most BaBa. BaBa is our smallest so I am worried that he is molting and I’m scared he will not make it. I don’t smell anything bad but I haven’t seen him in a while now. He keeps asking about him the 2 week wait is going to kill me ImageImage
Working on getting him to pick some of the many non-painted shells in the tank but he is under Image

Crabs can take several months to come up from a molt. I know the wait is difficult. But don't give in to the urge to dig him up to check on him. That can be very harmful.

The wait is so hard! My rug went down beginning of February and I keep looking at the tank this past week thinking she should be up by now but knowing it will probably be a few more weeks. Gah!

He has a new shell but he doesn’t come out from the sand until we are not in the room so no pictures yet
