Two Crabs
Two Crabs
I have two hermit crabs, Crusty Sean and Hermione. We’ve had Crusty for a few months and Hermione we got a few days before Christmas. Crusty was always super lazy, but now he moves around more than he used to. He comes out closer to 9, rather than 10, and stuff like that. Hermione, meanwhile, almost never moves… ever. He’s bigger. Is she intimidated, or maybe she’s just shyer?

Could be either. It will take time for her to feel comfortable moving around freely

this is totally normal 
im glad hes got a friend now! it can take crabs a while to open up. i had one who didnt come out for months on end. now hes running across my keyboard with 0 fear! ( snuggles, thats not for you! ) it might take her a while to open up. and the size could possibly scare her, but chances are more likely its just a new and different environment then shes used to/had perviously been in. good luck !
