I knew what would happen if I walked into the pet store. I knew, and I did it anyway.

This is Al Capone. He's shy and doesn't want to introduce himself.


This is Jägerbomb. He's precocious and scared of the bubbler.


This is Squidward. He's not new but this is the first time he's been out during the day.



Squidward has already smacked Jägerbomb around. They're worse than my kids.

Al Capone is wearing a beautiful shell.

Al and Jäger were tank mates at one of the elementary schools. Now that school is over all the classroom animals were given to the pet store. From what they told me the crabs weren't offered extra shells. I have no clue how long he's been in this one, but it is pretty.

Very bright colors plus nice sharp nails so it looks like Al Capone did fairly well as a classroom pet. Love that Jagerbomb is afraid of the bubbler -- I'm adding airstones to my guys' pools this weekend so we'll see if any of them are 'fraidycats, too.

I wish I would have gotten a video of Jäger in the sw pool. He walks down the ramp and as soon as the first bubble hits him he scrambled back up and was inside a coco hut in under 5 seconds. Fastest I've ever seen my crabs run.
