EMERGENCY Posting ONLY in This Forum!
There used to be a post on this which disappeared, so we are reposting it.LHC MEMBERS:To safeguard the quick and hopefully accurate advice those in emergency situations need ASAP, please remember, the ISO FORUM IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. Consider this to be like your hospital emergency room. Please post in here only if you have an emergency. Other posts like general questions about molting are to be posted in the other forums. This will make it much easier to help those in dire straits. All posts that are not emergencies will be moved or deleted. This is a policy instilled years ago by Land Hermit Crabs to ensure that people in need get their help as fast as possible. If there are too many chatty threads to weed through, the crabs who need imminent help may be overlooked. You would probably not walk into a hospital emergency room with a question about decorating your childs room, or which outdoor thermometer to buy. However, if you had a high fever, you could feel safe going there knowing that you will be seen ASAP. Posts that belong here in iso include:StreakingInfestation of InsectsMolt PROBLEMSIllnessInjuryPosts that do not belong here, but can be placed in other forums include:GENERAL QUESTIONS about iso tank set upMolting questions where no crab is in dangerBathing and feeding questions Any general maintenance questions. The above are only examples, and not a complete list. Please consider the nature of your post before posting. If a crab is not in harms way, please post your question in the regular lhc forum. Also, please do not post replies that only consist of sharing a story regarding a similar situation. If you do not know how to help, please do not post in this forum. Do not post things you may have read or heard. While there is good info out there, there is also bad and inaccurate info. If you are not an experienced crabber you may not know the difference yet. Passing this kind of info onto a new crabber in need of help who also may not know the difference and is desperate for help can cause more harm than good. I'm sure none of us would want to be responsible for such an outcome. And finally, it is as important to stay on topic in this forum. It is easy to get off topic from time to time, but keeping ISO concise, clear and as uncluttered as possible is a must.Thank you!-LHC ADMINS.

And please folks, if you're answering a post in this forum, make sure it is current. Do not begin to resurrect an emergency that has long since passed. If you have help to offer, (which is quite valuable and appreciated,) be sure it's for a current topic- not one that was resolved months ago. Thank you!
